The txbt4 UTXO snapshot — 869,836,053 bytes, 208 pieces of 4 MiB, infohash 242e9b7d…87c0 — fetched in this tab from a BitTorrent swarm (peers over WebRTC, a web seed as fallback), verified, and seeded while the tab stays open. Next to it, the same file by plain HTTP, for the number that matters. A playground: nothing else depends on it. source

The torrent's metadata is in this repo (utxo-knots-150307.torrent), so no peer is needed to learn the pieces. Trackers and the web seed are outside the infohash; the torrent file carries one web seed (an R2 bucket, url-list), and ?webseed= replaces it. Nothing is hard-wired in the page.

What each tracker answers for the infohash, asked every minute. The same seeder is usually on several trackers, so the counts overlap; a browser asking counts itself as a leecher. Peers this page meets when it fetches are listed above.
Pieces are checked by their SHA-1 as they arrive (the torrent's own rule); at the end the whole file's SHA-256 is checked against the snapshot's known hash. webtorrent keeps the pieces in this browser's origin storage (OPFS), so a reload seeds at once instead of fetching again — which is the goal, and also why a second run is "done" in a second: clear the stored copy to measure the swarm again.
